Tough Seasons

Good evening. I hope all of you are doing well by God’s grace. Tonight, I’ll like to share a video with you all. Please do take the time to watch it and if you can, take notes. Stay Blessed & Encouraged.

Devotional//Word For Today

“All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize.”
1Co 9:25 NLT

ARE YOU BEING STRETCHED?

When you’re being stretched spiritually, your faith in God grows. When you’re being stretched mentally, your old ideas are challenged and replaced with new ones. When you’re being stretched relationally, selfishness dies and love grows. So, are you being stretched right now? God allows us to have stretching experiences that prepare us for the race He has called us to run in life—and every so often your soul will “hit the wall.” No amount of strength and no amount of pressing will move the problem. This is soul stretch! Often, these moments aren’t the real test; they are just warm-ups that prepare us for future challenges. They are points of reference designed to keep us from panicking when we’re in the midst of the real race. Remember that God never allows a person to run for Him, or with Him, who hasn’t been stretched in their thinking, their faith, and their ability to live and love. So when you face a problem that just won’t move, remember to take a deep breath and remind yourself that God is stretching you. It’s the stretching of the soul that enables us to face situations we think will kill us, but don’t—to endure times when we think we won’t make it, but do. Sooner or later we will all face difficult times and relationships, but they are just the deep knee bends of life. So when it feels like you’re being stretched to breaking point, don’t quit. See it for what it is—preparation for running and winning your God-assigned race in life.

Verses:

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. –James 1:2-4

One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. –Psalm 27:4

Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. –James 1:12

Take time to pray for others. Who has the Lord placed on your heart for you to reach out to? Have you done so or are you making excuses? May the Lord bless you as you take heed to his obedience. Have a lovely night 🙂

The Release

Get ready to do a new thing this year. Remember to give Praise, receive Grace, walk in Favor and Trust the Father in the new year!:

“Don’t keep going over old history. I’m about to do something brand-new.”
Isa 43:18-19

LET GO OF YOUR PAST

Comedian Jerry Lewis joked that his best wedding gift was a film of the ceremony—because when things got really bad in his marriage he could go into a room by himself, run the film backwards, and walk out a free man! We smile, but you can’t go back and rewrite history any more than you can unscramble an egg. When you dwell on the past it’s always at the expense of the future, but when you learn from the past it has the potential to make your future better. Whenever you find yourself saying, “If I knew then what I know now,” remind yourself that unless you grow you’ll be saying the same thing ten or twenty years from now. You say, “If only I’d been willing to forgive my spouse instead of punishing them, maybe I could have kept my marriage together and built a great relationship.” Maybe you struggle with the memory of an abortion, wondering about the child who might have been and the joy he or she might have brought. Perhaps you’re a good person who did a bad thing and ended up with a felony record; now you’re saying, “If only…” Well, here’s what God says: (1) “Your sins are forgiven in Jesus’ name” (1Jn 2:12 TM). (2) “I…will blot out your sins for my own sake and will never think of them again” (Isa 43:25 NLT). (3) “Forget about what’s happened; don’t keep going over old history…I’m about to do something brand-new. It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it?…I’m making a [way for you].” The word for you today is: Let go of your past.

Deep Waters

“When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown” Isaiah 43:2 (TLB).:

“He was moved with compassion.”
Mt 9:36

HOW TO BOUNCE BACK

One of the best ways to bounce back from grief and loss is taking your memories and turning them into motivators, then reaching out in love to others who are hurting. “But I’m busy,” you say. Jesus was never too busy to show compassion to hurting people. After Ray and Judy Williamson’s son David was killed in a fall, Ray said: “I used to wonder if I should go to the funeral home when somebody had a tragedy, because I always feel so awkward and don’t know what to say. But I’ll never ask again. I’ll always go. It’s not what you say, but your presence that makes the difference.” When two teenagers died in a car accident, their parents decided to have a joint wake. Over a thousand people attended, some waiting up to three hours to comfort the bereaved families. When one man who’d stood by himself in line finally reached the front, he said, “I don’t know your children and I’ve never met you. But I came here tonight because I had a son who died two years ago. I know how it feels. In the days ahead you’ll go through every emotion you can imagine. I just want you to know that I’m here for you if you ever need to talk.” Then he pressed his card into their hand and walked away. Think about that. A stranger gave three hours of his time to people he didn’t know, because he wanted to help them through the most tragic experience of their lives. Understand this: It’s in reaching out to others that (a) we become more like Jesus; (b) we ourselves are made whole.

Prayer:

Lord, I thank you for everyone that comes across my blog. I pray over their situation and every hardship they may be facing in this season of their life. I pray that you will wrap them in your love. I ask that you remind them of your promise that you will never leave them nor forsake them. I pray for all those who have lost faith. Father I ask that you will give them faith. Help them to draw closer to you. Despite their circumstances, may they never stop seeking you. We ask for the outpouring of your Holy Spirit. We cannot do this alone. We thank you Lord for hearing this of our prayer. In Jesus name, I have prayed with thanksgiving. Amen.

Have a blessed evening and a great week 🙂

Lean On Him

Image

Thank Me in the midst of the crucible. When things seem all wrong, look for growth opportunities. Especially, look for areas where you need to let go, leaving your cares in My able hands. Do you trust Me to orchestrate your life events as I choose, or are you still trying to make things go according to your will? If you keep trying to carry out your intentions while I am leading you in another direction, you deify your desires.

Be on the lookout for what I am doing in your life. Worship Me by living close to Me, thanking Me in all circumstances.

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

-1 Peter 5:6-7

Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
-1 Thessalonians 5:18

Hold On

Image

“Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope.”
Heb 10:23 NLT

Hope

Some of the people around you today are living without hope. Look at them; they smile, but their eyes are dead. They talk, but the music has left their voice. They’re like mannequins: all dressed up and going nowhere because they feel hopeless. But as a follower of Christ, you don’t have to live that way. “Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.” Our hope isn’t luck, like winning the lottery. No, it’s confidence that God will do what He said. No one knew the truth of this better than David. He had every reason to lose hope. After Samuel anointed him to be Israel’s next king, he had to wait for seven years while a paranoid ruler occupied the throne. He had to flee for his life and hide in caves surrounded by enemies. He saw Israel devastated, his friends killed, and his family taken captive. But he never wavered or threw in the towel. Faced with circumstances that would wipe many of us out, the Psalmist said, “My hope is in You” (Ps 39:7 NKJV). “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning” (Ps 30:5 NKJV). In other words, “It’s going to get better!” You can’t lose with an attitude like that. David became king because he never lost confidence in the promises of God. They kept him focused; they kept him on top of the circumstances; they kept him going! What has God promised you? Stand on His Word and declare, “If God promised it, I believe it, and that settles it!”

Devotion: —> Bring Me the sacrifice of thanksgiving. Take nothing for granted, not even the rising of the sun. Before Satan tempted Eve in the Garden of Eden, thankfulness was a natural as breathing. Satan’s temptation involved pointing Eve to the one thing that was forbidden her. The garden was filled with luscious, desirable fruits, but Eve focused on the one fruit she couldn’t have rather that being thankful for the many good things freely available. This negative focus darkened her mind, and she succumbed to temptation.

When you focus on what you don’t have or on situations that displease you, your mind also becomes darkened. You take for granted life, salvation, sunshine, flowers, and countless other fists from Me. You look for what is wrong and refuse to enjoy life until that is fixed. When you approach Me with thanksgiving, the Light of My Presence pours into you, transforming you through and through. Walk in the Light with Me by practicing the discipline of thanksgiving.

I will offer to You the sacrifice of thanksgiving, And will call upon the name of the Lord.~Psalm 116:17 (NKJV)

The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’”

4 “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. 5 “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. ~Genesis 3:2-6

But if we walk in the Light, as He is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin. ~1 John 1:7

God is able to do whatever he has done for your neighbor for you. If God is going to bless you today, no man can say “No” He is not a God of partiality. “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” -Matthew 7:7. Let’s hold on. May we not give up, envy our neighbor. May we continually seek our God in all things. When we are up to Nothing, God is up Something. What God is able to do, man cannot do. He is able to do what he has promised. In spite of difficulties, may we hold on. Let’s Expect the Great.

Are You Ready?

Image

March 24th

THIS IS A TIME IN YOUR LIFE WHEN YOU MUST LEARN TO LET GO: of loved ones, of possessions, of control. In order to let go of something that is precious to you, you need to rest in My Presence, where you are complete. Take time to bask in the Light of My Love. As you relax more and more, your grasping hand gradually opens up, releasing your prized possession into My care.

You can feel secure, even in the midst of cataclysmic changes through awareness of My continual Presence. The one who never leaves you is the same one who never changes: I am the same yesterday, today, and forever. As you release more and more things into My care, remember that I never let go of your hand. Herein lies your security, which no one and no circumstance can take from you.

Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim You, who walk in the light of Your presence, Lord. ~Psalm 89:15

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever ~Hebrews 13:8

For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.
~Isaiah 41:13

Are you ready? Ready to let go of yesterday’s pain and heartache. To release the burden and lay it down at the cross. Ask yourself. It’s quite a bittersweet moment. Bitter: You held on too long that the pain has taken a toll on your life. Sweet: There are better days ahead. Letting go is not easy. Forgiveness is key & it’s worth it. Forgiving those who have hurt you. Holding on just hurts. You need peace. We all need peace. Pray, Relax, Let it go. It’s not worth it.

Priceless Sacrifice

Priceless Sacrifice

The title of this post was actually the name I intended to give my blog. It was taken. My wonderful friend helped me in getting the name of this blog. She also has a blog too. You can check out her blog http://gracehopelove.wordpress.com/ . God is good.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

“Come now, let us reason together,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. -Isaiah 1:18

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace -Ephesians 1:7
