“Letting go means to come to the realization that some people are a part of your history, but not a part of your destiny.” -Steve Maraboli
“God protect you from what is not best for you. When things end with no warning, there’s something at work.”
“You can’t be who God called you to be and still keep all the same friends and habits. Elevation requires Separation.”
Okay so I know I’m not the only one who struggles with letting go. I’m sure there are a few or even a handful of people who go through the emotions of letting go of things/people in our lives. This topic on moving on has been on my mind so I just want to spill my heart out. Letting go isn’t easy but in certain cases it is when the person your holding on to has already released you from their life. It’s a painful process knowing that all you can hold on to are memories. For instance, let’s take a look at the first quote by Steve Maraboli. He makes it clear to us that some people are not meant to be apart of our destinies which ties in to the second quote. God knows what it best for us. Sometimes, God places and situations in your life to teach a lesson for what is ahead of you or to reveal the character of a person. Not everyone you know has the same heart as you. Everyone is raised differently and sees things in different angle. Moving on hurts. Sometimes, it feels like a broken heart. Despite the situations, that we face, God is always with us. He reminds us in his word (Hebrew 13:5) that he will never leave us nor forsake us. Yes we hear that Bible verse so many times but think about it do you believe it? Don’t get me wrong sometimes, when we are stuck in a situation or things are going on around the world, we tend to ask where was God when all of this happened? God was there all around and yes he sees the chaos going on around the world. We live in sinful world. People are fighting darkness and other battles but God is still on throne. Despite all these situations around us, we have to continue to hold on to our faith, pray and intercede for others. We are placed in situations to make us stronger. Sometimes, God will take all that you need or think you deserve to bring you down to your knees to humble you. Sometimes, he will remove those close to you to draw you closer to him because they are a distraction. Sometimes, God also removes people out of your life because He Needs To Work On Them. God knows the hearts of his children more than they do. Not everyone means well for you. Not everyone is a bad person but sometimes God needs to work in their hearts. All that we can do is love these people, forgive, pray for them.
I come before you as your daughter. I ask Lord for your forgiveness. I ask and pray that you will open our hearts and give us understanding. For Lord many times it’s hard to move on. It’s hard reminiscing the times we shared with our friends and loved ones who are no longer apart of our lives. Lord you know the reasons you remove people out of our lives. Though we may not understand and question you, help us to not go astray. Draw us nearer to you than never before. Lord give us a heart to forgive others when they wrong us because you O Lord forgive me daily. It hurts and somedays we cry but help us to trust in your ways and not to lean on our own understanding. I pray for everyone on here and around the world that are facing difficulties or struggling with moving on. O Lord help them and hear the outcries of children. I thank you because you have heard our petitions and prayers. In your name alone that I ask and pray. Amen.
