“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet. “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” -Matthew 5:13-16
Living your life purposefully and seeking the face of the Lord is essential for your spiritual being. God has called each of us for a purpose. As written in Romans 12:6, We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach, if it is encouraging, let him encourage. You are here for a purpose. A specific task that is awaiting to be fulfilled by you and I. No one can do it but you. It is in the Lord that we find purpose. Purpose is found in him. We are called to serve the Lord. We all have a different calling. Our identity should be found in Christ Jesus before we find our identity elsewhere. Personally, I don’t know what my purpose is here on Earth. I’m yet to find out, for it to be revealed. Praying and trusting God is all I can do. He is the maker and giver of life. Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Do all things for his glory.
