“About all you can do in life is be who you are. Some people will love you for you. Most will love you for what you can do for them, and some won’t like you at all.” -Rita Mae Brown
The takeaway truth. Not everyone you encounter will like or accept you for who you are. Then again everyone you meet is a blessing and a lesson. Every person we meet, every experience and situation we come across in life, all serve to shape who we are. As time goes by we don’t lose friends, we much rather discover who our real friends are in the first place. Not everyone is going to dance in the rain with you. You have to celebrate yourself. Be your own cheerleader. There is nothing wrong with being your own cheerleader. God puts people in our lives for many reasons. Some to learn lessons from, others to help us along our way and others to make us realize how strong we really are. Loving yourself is more than enough. If someone doesn’t love you, someone else somewhere loves you. Love your inner self.
